THE BERICI HILLS
The company is located in the Berici Hills, more precisely in Alonte in the province of Vicenza. The Berici Hills are a group of hilly reliefs characterized by the presence of calcareous sedimentary rocks of volcanic and marine origin that over time have evolved into soils with red clays, rich in skeleton that give these hills a high drainage capacity.
The low rainfall and the Mediterranean climate very different from the flat areas surrounding this area allow to obtain wines with intense and very structured aromas
THE GRAPES
We grow various grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Tai Rosso and Garganega.
Tai Rosso is the symbolic vine of the Berici Hills. It has the same genetic nature as Sardinian Cannonau, French Grenache and Spanish Garnacha. This vine is considered typical on the Berici Hills, since its presence in the area has been witnessed for hundreds of years. It is a vigorous grape variety which, in order to express itself at its best, requires particular exposure to light and heat. It is perfectly adapted to the leanest and driest terroirs, which is why it has found an ideal habitat on the Berici.
